Senior Project Mentorship

About the Program

In collaboration with the Bilkent University Computer Engineering Department and Global Turks AI, the Bilkent AI Society is proud to launch a landmark mentorship program for the 2025–2026 academic year and beyond. This exclusive initiative connects senior project students with world-class Turkish AI leaders, engineers, entrepreneurs, and researchers from the prestigious Global Turks AI network. It’s a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between academia and the global AI industry.

Highlights

  • Global Mentorship: One-on-one guidance from leading Turkish experts at top tech companies and research institutions worldwide.
  • Elevate Your Project: Enhance your senior project with insights and feedback from seasoned professionals.
  • Expand Your Network: Build invaluable connections with influential figures in the AI field, opening doors to future career opportunities.
  • Real-World Experience: Gain exposure to cutting-edge AI research and product development, or contribute to an innovative project idea proposed directly by a mentor.

How It Works

The program is designed to be flexible, catering to students with existing ideas as well as those looking for an inspiring project. There are two pathways to participate:

Student Projects → Mentor Match: If your team already has a senior project idea, your project abstract will be shared with our pool of mentors from Global Turks AI. Mentors will review the proposals and select teams whose projects align with their expertise and interests to guide them throughout the year.

Mentor Projects → Student Teams: For teams who are still exploring ideas or wish to tackle a challenge proposed by an industry leader, our mentors will provide a list of their own research or product ideas. Your team can select a project from this pool and work on it under the direct guidance of the proposing mentor.
