👤 About the Speakers:

  • Ahmet Üstün Ahmet Üstün is a Senior Research Scientist at Cohere for AI, holding a Ph.D. in Computational Linguistics from the University of Groningen. Ahmet has made significant contributions to the Aya Expanse series, leveraging his expertise to advance state-of-the-art language model training techniques.

  • Beyza Ermiş Formerly at AWS and with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Boğaziçi University, Beyza is a Research Scientist at Cohere with prior experience in AWS.

  • İrem Ergün İrem Ergün is a Machine Learning Engineer at Cohere, where she specializes in the post-training optimization of large language models. Previously, İrem was a graduate student researcher and teaching assistant at the University of California, Riverside, focusing on privacy-preserving machine learning.
